WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE SUDDEN LOUD VIBRATIONS FROM WASHING MACHINE?

Something as simple as an imbalance can cause the machine to vibrate violently. At the same time there are many other factors that might be causing the violent vibrations. Once you hone in on the causing factor you can address the issues.

You can estimate the problem by checking a few things. Here are a few things you should look into when your machine starts vibrating violently:

  1. See if you have ended up overloading the machine. When the machine is overloaded it not only does improper cleaning but can start vibrating leading to the loosening of parts.
  2. See if the base or “feet” of the machine is levelled or not. If all the feet are making contact with the ground then it is levelled if any part is not making contact, you can be sure that it is a levelling problem. Adjusting the legs can take care of the problem.

  1. The washer drum might be defective. You can check the drum and get it replaced if the part of the machine is in fact defective.
